  • UBC Affiliate Student Card Renewal or First Time Request

All registered students including distance students at Vancouver School of Theology are eligible to get a UBC affiliate student card. A valid affiliate student UBC card is necessary to load U-Pass to your Compass card, although you do not have to have the card in hand. Once the cards have been processed by UBC, you will be able to load your U-Pass immediately.

You can apply for your UBC Affiliate Student Card online directly using the following link: https://ubccard.ubc.ca/obtaining-a-ubccard/students.

For NEW STUDENTS:
Please note that you can only apply for a UBC Affiliate Student Card once you have received your UBC affiliate student number and set up your Campus Wide Login (CWL) with that number. For the Fall term, UBC will begin issuing these numbers in early August. We will notify you via email once your number is issued.

For distance students:
According to the UBC website, “Unless you are A) Living in residence, or B) You’re registered for in-person classes, you will only receive a digital version of your UBC card. It works for the library and as a picture ID and is accessible on your phone.”

Returning students who already have a physical card can access a digital version of their card by logging into their account. This can be helpful for anyone who has lost their card and needs to use it before a new card can be mailed to them.

More information about the UBC card is available at https://ubccard.ubc.ca/.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to studentservices@vst.edu.
