Time: 9:00 am for 3 hours
This course explores the concept of atonement and reconciliation in the history of Christianity and Christian theologies with selected classic authors and modern thinkers. This course will focus on how theologians have variously conceived the problem to which reconciliation is addressed in the work and person of Jesus Christ and the roles of God and humanity. The goal of this course is to help students articulate the nature of the theologies of reconciliation as reformed and ecumenical theology and explore its meaning and relevance in the contemporary world.
