The Church at Work in the World

View Issue 84 Flipbook

We invited congregational leaders to reflect on the life of their communities through a shared set of questions, exploring where they see signs of hope, challenge, renewal, and grace in their ministries.

Their responses come from different places and traditions, yet each offers a glimpse of how the Church continues to grow, adapt, and serve in a changing world.

Here are the questions we asked:

  1. Could you briefly provide a little context about your congregation, your place in it, and where you are today?
  2. What’s remarkable about your congregation? How do you see it flourishing?
  3. What has been a challenge that, in hindsight, helped your congregation grow or clarify its sense of mission?
  4. What practices have you implemented in your congregation that have been especially life-giving for your congregation that would inspire others?
  5. What gives you hope in your ministry?
  6. What would you tell a current student who is preparing to enter into congregational ministry?

Here are their stories…
