Rev. Dr. Kara Slade

Biography

The Rev. Canon Dr. Kara Slade CGS is Associate Rector at Trinity Church, Princeton, Canon Theologian of the Diocese of New Jersey, and Director of the Concentration in Episcopal and Anglican Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. She holds a PhD in Christian theology and ethics from Duke University, with research focused on Karl Barth, Søren Kierkegaard, and the ethics of science, technology, and medicine. An ordained priest in the Episcopal Church, she contributes to theological formation through her work with examining chaplains. She is a professed member of the Community of the Good Shepherd, an order for women in relationship with the Oratory of the Good Shepherd.
