Fr. Kevin has sought to serve the Church with faithfulness and compassion for over forty years. Ordained in the Church of England, he ministered for three decades in parishes in the northeast of England before being invited in 2015 to serve at St James’, in the heart of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. There he brought pastoral presence, liturgical depth, and a steady commitment to the Parish’s walking alongside a community marked both by beauty and by struggle.
In the Diocese of New Westminster, he served as Regional Dean and Archdeacon of Burrard, offering encouragement and leadership to clergy and congregations alike. He has provided liturgical leadership at the Cathedral and Diocesan gatherings. Over the years he has acted as mentor to those on the journey of discernment, and to the newly-ordained. He is driven by the desire to tend the Body of Christ with gentle patience and care.
Having retired in 2024 as Rector of St James’ and Archdeacon, Fr. Kevin now worships at Christ Church Cathedral, and is a member of the Fellowship of the Society of St John the Evangelist (Cambridge, Massachusetts). He aspires to be shaped by a life of prayer, sacrament, and community
