VST Announces Partnership with Huron University College

Vancouver School of Theology and Huron University College announce an affiliation for theological education designed for ministry candidates in The United Church of Canada. Students in the London, Ontario area can now study locally while enrolled at Vancouver School of Theology in distance education.

The VST program at Huron is a 90 credit degree. It may be completed in three years of study or up to seven years part-time.  The M.Div program combines off site (online) courses through VST and in-class courses at Huron University College.

The degree and United Church Testamur are granted through VST.  Courses are accessed as synchronous (real time interaction with class and instructor) or asynchronous (recorded and listened to online later).

Huron University College through its United Church faculty will deliver pastoral theology and field education courses, while VST will deliver the rest of the program through its distance M.Div. program. The VST at Huron partnership provides a solution for students who can not readily move or commute multiple days of the week.

This program will begin in January 2018.
