Janet Martin Soskice is Professor Emerita of Philosophical Theology at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Jesus College.  Since July 2020 she has been the William K Warren Distinguished Research Professor of Catholic Theology at Duke Divinity School where she lectures each spring semester.

Janet is a past-President of both the Catholic Theological Association of Great Britain and the Society for the Study of Theology and a former McCarthy Visiting Professor at the Gregorian University.  Along with other scholarly books, Janet is the author of Sisters of Sinai which was read as ‘book of the week’ on Radio 4 and became a best-seller: the true story of Scottish twin sisters born in 1844 who discovered one of the most ancient manuscripts of the Bible.
