We are all born into this world, a world of creation. As we grow and journey through life we question our existence, our purpose, our relationship to the ultimate and our quest for the intimate. We wonder “what has this world to do with me and what have I to do with this world?” There are many paths to understanding but none as accessible as our oldest, leading and longest partner, creation. By understanding creation, or what I call the “whole community of creation,” we learn how we are to live within that created community. By studying the various aspects of the community of creation, we learn how to live responsibly as individuals and social beings. This is the ethic of creation.
Prerequisites: None (students who have already taken ETH500-Christian Ethics may select this course as an elective, as it’s content is significantly different)
