Week 2: July 16-20, 2018

This seminar will use facilitated dialogue and discussions of key readings to trace the growth of faith-based dialogue from ancient Greece to today. From Plato’s Laws, to Hume’s Dialogues, to the dialogic method of H. G. Gadamer, we will explore how religious dialogue has been – and remains – essential to the Western philosophical tradition.

Terry Neiman, a scholar and practitioner of multi-party, multi-disciplinary dialogue, negotiation, and problem solving. He is a university lecturer, communication consultant, author and editor of religious commentary, and a former rocket scientist.
