God’s Future Calls
Supporting Thoughtful, Engaged & Generous
Leadership through VST
The Chancellor’s Dinner is a signature Vancouver School of Theology event. It is an annual opportunity to invite our friends and supporters to catch up with each other, with the work of the school, and for us to say thank you. The 2020 Chancellor’s Dinner was planned for the end of September, with the current COVID-19 challenge it will not be possible to gather in person.
Given the greater engagement on VST’s horizon, the board and leadership are convinced that we need to continue the tradition of the Chancellor’s Dinner, albeit in a unique virtual format this year. We simply can not miss an opportunity to share good news these days.
I am inviting you to join us on October 7 for the #Chancellor’sREVEAL – a virtual tour with our leadership team of our campus and our future, as we anticipate our 50th Anniversary in 2021.
Recognizing the need and demand for VST trained graduates to lead in the church, and that many students who attend VST are stretched beyond measure in pursuit of their call to theological education and leadership, VST has increased its bursary offerings to students with up to 70% support of their costs. For over 35 years the Indigenous Studies Program at VST has been a leader in indigenous theological education by extension. The need to continue to invest is a priority for VST in our collective pursuit of truth and reconciliation.
The #Chancellor’sREVEAL reinforces that we each have role and responsibility to support the church, and the importance of theological education – it’s worth your life!
