Biography

Jane Osler, CMC, ODNW, is as a certified management consultant providing advisory services in a variety of areas, including strategy development, customer experience management and product development in the tourism sector.

Jane is a cradle Anglican and have been involved as a volunteer with the Anglican Church since her youth, and with the Diocese of New Westminster shortly after moving to the lower-mainland in the mid-90’s. Jane’s gifts have been put to use at her parish, Christ Church Cathedral, the diocese, as well as at the national level in areas aligned with the type of work she does (strategic planning, group facilitation and communications), as well as in hospitality and fundraising.

Jane is new to VST, though was asked by the Reverend Harold Munn to come and speak with one of his classes as a result of my involvement in the development of the strategic plans for the diocese, Plan 2018 – Growing Communities of Faith in Jesus Christ to serve God’s Mission in the world and the National Church, Dream the Church – Vision 2019. Harold Munn wanted Jane to discuss the approach taken and how the plans addressed being missional.

Some of the areas in which Jane has been involved with the Anglican church include:

National Involvement

  • Appointment to the Anglican Church of Canada’s Vision 2019 Implementation Team
  • Participant in the Primate’s consultation “Embodying God’s Call – Aligning General Synod Structures for God’s Mission Today”
  • Co-chair of the Planning & Agenda Team for the Council of General Synod
  • Elected member of the Pension Committee

Parish (Christ Church Cathedral)
