Volf Lecture

Debt of Gratitude? How (not) to be grateful to God

Date: Tuesday, July 6th at 7pm (PT)

Many Christians, including great theologians like Thomas Aquinas, think that we have an obligation to “repay” God for the kindness God shows us. In this lecture, I hope to show why this is not a good way to practice gratitude to God.
