Understanding the grief process is an important topic for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one. Pastors and spiritual care practitioners need to understand the grief process and will need to provide grief counseling to people in their care. This course provides an overview of the various aspects of grief counseling, from understanding the grieving process to providing effective support and resources to those in need. It will also explore different types of grief, such as anticipatory grief, traumatic grief, and complicated bereavement.

This course is also designed to help students to understand the grief responses by individuals, and its impact on individuals throughout their lifespan. This course will also cover topics such as the grieving process, coping strategies, and interventions for helping people cope with loss.

Additionally, this course will discuss how to create a safe and supportive environment for clients or people in your care for helping them cope with their loss. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of how to provide effective support and resources wot those who are grieving.
