Theologizing in the Time of COVID: Revelations from the Plague

In this course, we will use the world created and revealed by the novel coronavirus as a platform for crafting more adequate theological understandings of our ongoing crises and opportunities. We will identify the things about the world revealed by COVID-19 for which meaning-making is critical. We want to look at the answers we’ve gotten to our questions about similar or related crises throughout our lives — what we have received — and ask what meaning we can make together out of those materials. What is the state of our understanding? How healthy are our meanings? In what directions does the experience of the plague push us?
