“Building Community – Living in the Light” Experiential Learning at the Epiphany Chapel

Dates: January 20, 2025 - April 11, 2025 on Wednesdays

Time: 2:00 pm for 3 hours

Description: This elective course offers students an immersive, on-the-ground experience in the early-stage development of a new ecumenical community of faith. Over the course of the term, students will engage in several modules that will focus on the strategic Spirit-led opportunity for faith community growth, with the locus for this learning being Vancouver School of Theology’s Epiphany Chapel on the campus of the University of British Columbia. Students will intentionally explore and engage how the Epiphany Chapel can extend its reach and enhance its welcome to a broader community. A second course, building on the work of this course and supporting the new ecumenical community of faith, will follow in Fall Term 2025.

Prerequisites: One course in each of the following: worship, homiletics, biblical studies, theology is required. This course requires an application and Permission to Register from the Registrar.
