Community Resources

Location is everything!

VST's prime location on the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus makes accessing nearby community resources easy.

Adjoining/Related schools
The following sister schools are also located on the UBC Campus:

St. Andrew's Hall: a Presbyterian theological school located next to VST and in partnership with VST, enabling VST to be the western theological college for The Presbyterian Church in Canada. More information is available on the St. Andrew's website.

Regent College: a non-denominational graduate school of Christian studies which began as a centre for education of lay people. It offers several degree programs always with a concern for quality, evangelical theological training. VST students may take credit courses at Regent, and vice versa. See the Regent College website for more details.

Carey Theological College: the Baptist school accredited by the Association of Theological Schools through its co-operative work with Regent College, is adjacent to VST. The College offers a Certificate in Ministry, the Master of Divinity, and the Doctor of Ministry degrees. For more information, see the Carey Hall website.

St. Mark's College: a Roman Catholic centre for chaplaincy, also adjacent to VST. Some of the courses taught at St. Mark's may be applicable as electives in VST programs. For more information, see the St. Mark's website. Corpus Christi College also operates classes at St. Mark's College, offering undergraduate liberal arts courses.

Libraries
VST students have access to the libraries at the schools listed above, as well as to the University of British Columbia library. For more information on associated libraries, please refer to the Library section of this site.

Worship at local churches
There are many churches, representing many denominations, close to VST. Each church welcomes student membership and participation.
